SHIPPING TO EU (starting 12 August 2026)

Gemmi is suspending deliveries to consumers in other EU countries until further notice due to the requirements of EU's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) that came into force on 12 August 2026. We support the ideas behind the new regulations, but hope that EU will consider the effects this has on small businesses. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this. 

 

SHIPPING OUTSIDE EU

Prices in the web store are stated in euro (€). For shipping made outside EU, Finnish VAT does not apply. Customers from non-EU countries are responsible for any local customs duty and taxes on import, which usually have to be paid to the courier before delivery.  We use DHL for international deliveries.  DHL can take care of customs clearance against a fee (around 25 euro).  If unsure about local taxes or duty, please check with you local customs authorities before ordering or contact us for more information. 

We do not use any fur material from endangered species. We provide a CITES statement letter for customs clearance, however, import restrictions for specific fur products may apply, depending on your country of residence. Please check with customs in your country if you are unsure about any restrictions. 

 

PAYMENT METHODS

Gemmi web store accepts payments with major credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Maestro, American Express). All credit card transactions are secure, data related to the payment is protected via the SSL standard.

 

ORDER CONFIRMATION

Once we have received your order, you will receive a confirmation to the e-mail address that you provided when submitting your order. 

 

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Deliveries within Finland are made via the Finnish Post Office or PostNord to a post office/parcel locker close to your given address. All deliveries outside Finland will be directly to your home address. Please note that a street address is required for delivery by courier. Delivery will be made by DHL, which usually takes 2-8 days. If the package is held up by customs for inspection there can be a delay of up to two weeks.

The delivery charges to Finland are:

   < 150€ (VAT 0%) by Posti 6,90 € (5,50 € + VAT)

   >150€ (VAT0%) by PostNord 10,79€ (8,60 + VAT)

Deliver charges to Norway, Switzerland and the UK 

   <500€ (VAT0%) by DHL  30€     plus customs clearance 25€

   >500€(VAT%) by DHL  65€         plus customs clearance 25€

Delivery charges, rest of the World (outside EU)

   <500€ (VAT0%)  by DHL 35€   plus customs clearance 25€

   >500€ (VAT0%) by DHL 75€   plus customs clearance 25€

 

PRICES AND VALUE ADDED TAX

Prices for customers based in Finland include 25,5% VAT. Customers outside EU will pay the price net of Finnish VAT. Please note that you may need to pay local tax or duty on products purchased in foreign online shops. Any such tax and duty will have to be paid before the package is delivered.

On the product and collection pages:

• The price is shown both including VAT (for Finnish customers) and excluding VAT (for non-EU customers).

In the shopping cart:

• Individual items are listed with a price including VAT.
• The cart summary shows the total price both including and excluding VAT.

In check out the price is shown as follows based on the delivery address you have provided:

• For orders placed in Finland:
• Product price and subtotal – excluding VAT
• Shipping – excluding VAT
• Taxes – shows the VAT calculated on both product price and shipping
• Total – shows the final price for orders within EU, including VAT
• For orders places outside of EU, prices for the product and shipping are shown excluding VAT
